Pixie Cut Pics Aug 15th w/new Miley Pics

                                               Pixie Cut pics August 15th

Well it's been a little over 48 hours since the hair world has been shocked with the news
that Miley Cyrus has cut her hair into a pixie.
Since that time, the entertainment world  has been a buzz with this story. From TMZ to
Entertainment Tonight,
Miley has tweeted even more pictures since the intial set. Which we have at the bottom of
this very post!
But Miley has received some backlash from the likes of Rapper
Tyler The Creator who critized the haircut and said " Miley's barber should be fired"
Miley responded back to him in what turned into a war of the words on twitter yesterday.

I touched upon this subject under the comment area on the Short Haired Babe Of The Week the other day.
Why is it the second a woman cut's their hair short, they get criticism  from others and narrow minded comments?
For generations now as far as back as The Roaring 1920's women have cut their hair short.
Why is it still that people perceive women as having long hair and men having short hair?

It seems the same questions and same ignorance has reared it's ugly head for a whole new generation.
This time though instead of snide comments and gossip, the medium has changed to tweets.

Like many before her, Miley has shown she is confident in her own skin and feels more herself
with short hair. Too bad others dont have enough confidence to embrace it themselves but even more so, accept that others can.
Look short hair isnt for every woman. As much as we hair enthusiast like it . Some women like their
hair long. Which is fine. But why is it they feel threatened the second other women cut their hair.
Why is it some men resort to narrow minded sterotypes and assumptions when a women gets their hair cut short. Or why is it some men are afraid to admit they like women with short hair, because by there rationale admitting it in someway makes them less heterosexual.

In today's age a short haircut on a woman can be anything the wearer wants it to be.
It is most certainly feminine.
Are some men too afraid to admit this?
Some women chose short hair with cuts that arent  feminine to project an image to fit what they identify themselves as sexually..
Some men have long hair and project masculinity with it. No one ever questioned Samson's manhood having long hair.
Other men might choose certain styles to project femininty. There's long hair styles that can be feminine or masculine, just as there is short styles that are feminine looking and visa versa.
The bottom line is hairstyles can represent anything and can be as unique as the indivual wearing them.
When we as a society realize this, the better off we'll be.
As Jerry Springer would say at the end of his commentary on each episode of his show, "and those are my final thoughts of the night." Be kind and take care of one another.."
Now enjoy the pics..

Hey Mac
I also believe short hair on a woman is very feminine. Every woman shouldnt or wouldnt want it but when cut into a style thats becoming to her and well done can be extremely feminine and very attrctive. Dont understand all the unfavorable comments and slams. If she needed a haircut badly no one would complain that she should get one.
Anyway, as for the back of Mileys hair, nothing a few minutes with a clipper and trimmer wouldnt fix.

I think the backlash that Miley is getting is partly due to the fact that every photo that she posts looks like she just rolled out of bed. Obviously, she's going for a messy pixie look as opposed to a conventional neat boyish pixie. Whatever the case, the haters need to accept the fact that it's her hair and she can do as she pleases.
Additionally, there's no dening that for centuries, long hair tended speak of romance, sensuality and seductiveness. In mythology and fairy tales, you can find tales woven through with apt descriptions of long hair. In fact, you would be hard pressed to find a fairy tale where the main female character does not have cascading, long hair. This is especially true in the story of "Rapunzel” where the entire fable is based around her long hair.
So with being taught at an early age that women should have long hair, it's no wonder that the perception is that women need to wear thier hair long. I applaude Miley for breaking free of her steriotype and doing what she wants to do. As she says " ❤❤❤ feeling so happy in my skin"

Below is a link to a woman's decision to go short and how she feels about it. Every woman should read this

Mac,

Cut-It-Short.tumblr.com had something very insightful to say about women who wear their hair short:

I feel like it takes a certain type of girl to rock a pixie or any short do for that matter. Every pixie girl I’ve met is so down to earth and easy to talk to. The stuck up girls, who hide behind their hair and ask dumb questions (like; are you gay or something? ) could never rock a pixie cut;) I feel bad for them. They are afraid to step outside the judgemental, pointless, uniform bubble called society. Short haired girls rule!

And I agree with Cut-It-Short. I say it slightly different - that is it takes a very independent woman to wear her hair short plus she/they have they have to make a hair decision every 3 to 5 weeks.

Long hair is what you get when you do NOTHING.

Perfect Cut,
I couldnt agree with you more.
I've found most woman with short hair especially pixies tend to be more down to earth.
It also shows that a woman has alot of confidence in herself by wearing short hair.
